We collect this information via direct bookings (Smoobu), Airbnb, Booking.com, email forms, and analytics tools (Google Analytics, Meta Pixel).

  • To manage your stay and send booking details
  • To communicate important safety or stay-related info
  • To send marketing emails if you opted in

You can opt out of marketing anytime via the “unsubscribe” link in any message.

We do not sell, rent, or share your data.

3. Where and How We Store It

We store your data securely in:

  • Smoobu (for direct bookings)
  • Airbnb or Booking.com (if booked via their platforms)

We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse or unauthorised access.

Terms & Conditions

By booking with Wild Forest Estate, you agree to the following terms.

1. Bookings & Payments

  • Full payment required at time of booking
  • Bookings via Smoobu, Airbnb, or Booking.com
  • Confirmation sent by email after booking

2. Cancellations & Refunds

  • Cancel up to 24 hours before check-in for full refund
  • Less than 24 hours: refunds at our discretion
  • Airbnb/Booking.com refunds follow their policies

3. House Rules

  • No children under 12 (unless pre-approved)
  • No smoking or open flames indoors
  • No parties or events
  • Quiet hours: 10pm to 7am
  • $25 BBQ cleaning fee if not cleaned by guest

4. Health & Safety

Guests will receive a Health & Safety Advisory before arrival. It covers terrain, pests, fire risks, and use of outdoor facilities.

By booking, you acknowledge your responsibility to follow safety instructions and use the facilities at your own risk.

5. Guest Responsibility

  • You are responsible for your safety and belongings
  • Wild Forest Estate is not liable for injury or loss due to terrain, insects, or fire
  • You are liable for damage beyond normal wear

6. Third-Party Platforms

Bookings via Airbnb or Booking.com are subject to their terms. We are not liable for platform errors or fees.

7. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
