A 1973 Zephyr caravan, restored from the shell out, alone in its own clearing in 14 hectares of native forest. Lined in birch ply over wool insulation, with cork floors, vintage brass marine fittings and solar lighting. Queen bed with a new Ecosa mattress and line-dried pure linen. Outside: a cast iron forest bath in its own clearing, a canvas-roofed bathroom with flushing toilet and hot shower, an outdoor kitchen, and a sun deck. Enjoy the lovely setting of this romantic spot in nature.

The caravan

The Wild Forest Estate Zephyr has been completely restored. Wool insulation sits behind birch ply walls, the floors are cork, and the end windows are wood and open right up. The light fittings are vintage brass marine fittings, powered by solar. The bed is a full-size queen with a new Ecosa mattress and 100% pure linen bedding, dried on the line outside. It sleeps two.

The forest bath

A cast iron bath sits in its own private clearing, 15 metres from the caravan, with plumbed-in hot water. Only Zephyr guests use it.

The bathroom

The bathroom is outdoors under a canvas roof, 10 metres from the caravan. It has a flushing toilet and a hot shower, heated by a Bosch gas califont.

The outdoor kitchen

Nigel built the kitchen around a Japanese-style blackened timber wall. It has a stainless catering bench and sink, a vintage caravan gas cooker, a Weber BBQ, and a chilly bin with ice pads. We supply olive oil, salt, pepper, coffee, popcorn and marshmallows.

The deck

A large sun deck with teak sun loungers and a big retro peach umbrella.
